Nice to meet you
I'm a state-certified English and German translator and interpreter based in Nuremberg, Germany. I grew up in Chicago, Illinois, and have called Germany home since 2017. My international experience means I bring a genuine understanding of both languages and cultures to everything I do.
My journey into language services started long before my formal training. After finishing my Bachelor's in German Studies and Psychology, I came to Germany on a Fulbright scholarship, where I worked as an English language assistant at two Nuremberg secondary schools. That experience deepened my love of language and cross-cultural communication and set me on the path to where I am today.
I hold a state certification in translation and interpreting for English and German with a specialization in legal language from the Institut für Fremdsprachen und Auslandskunde (IFA) in Erlangen, as well as a degree in German Studies and Psychology from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
I know first-hand how intimidating German bureaucracy can be. Whether it's navigating official documents, attending appointments, or understanding legal paperwork, I'm here to help, not just with my professional expertise, but with the lived experience of someone who has been through it too. And for those dreaming of making the move to an English-speaking country or to Germany, I understand that journey too, and I'm here to help make it a little easier.
I work with individuals and businesses alike, whether you're navigating a personal situation or need a reliable language partner for your organization. I'm always happy to have a conversation before you commit to anything, so please feel free to reach out.
